0

School’s back in and Summer is drawing to a close…but that is just when things begin to really heat up here in Guthrie! Take a look at our top 5 things to do this week (August 17-23):

NUMBER 5:
Register for this month’s Shipwreck Talk hosted by GuthrieAmerica.org. This month’s speaker is awesome Guthrie resident and entrepreneur Phil Nichols. Phil is going to share “5 Right Things” and tips on how to hire your next “rockstar” employee. This event is FREE and at the end, you will get to take a photo in the street. Not sure what that means?? Guess you need to attend to find out!! Register HERE.

NUMBER 4:
Check out the Guthrie Public Schools calendar to be sure you don’t miss meeting your child’s teacher or the first day of school!! You can access the calendar here. First day of school is Thursday, August 20.

NUMBER 3:
Join Celebrity Artist Tiffany Bora, The Tipsy Artist, on Sunday, August 23 for Family Day. You will have the opportunity to paint “Love Whale”. Click HERE to register. If you haven’t attended one of her events, it is definitely one of Guthrie’s most awesome attractions. If you can’t make it Sunday, there is also an event on Saturday, August 22. NUMBER 2:
Check out the weekly Chamber Coffee on Wednesday, August 19. ¬†This week’s host is Mercy Hospital Logan County located at 200 S. Academy. Greg Coleman, CEO of the Guthrie Chamber, is a big proponent in meaningful experiences where people can connect, learn, and grow. The Chamber is a great way to promote your own business while also supporting the community. To learn more, simply contact the Guthrie Chamber today.

NUMBER 1:
Saturday Night it is a MUST that you step out and head on down to the Apothecary Garden for another installment of Apothecary Nights. This month, organizer Justin Fortney has amped up his street party game and added artists, a photowalk, more food trucks, ghost walk, and a phenomenal musician to the mix. This event is FREE and a great way to get out and interact in the community. For $5 you can watch Levi Parham perform under the stars in the Apothecary Garden at 9pm. Looking forward to a fantastic evening!
